Nick & Katey // Engagement

Nick and Katey. Katey and Nick. After a couple reschedules and keeping a close eye on the blossoms, we finally had our engagement session. Cherry blossoms were late this year, but we were able to catch them before they all blew away. What many people don't know is that there are a myriad of flowering trees around the Tidal Basin, and whereas I love cherry blossom trees, I am quite found of the tulip trees, too. Gosh are they incredible!

I felt like giving this blog post a more artsy feel with a film filter. Just wanted to branch out and try a little something different for a change. It's 1:24AM. Don't judge. I'm just having fun.

Jordyn & Jamie // Engagements

I first met Jordyn at a mutual friend/colleague's birthday party. She works for TLC, but for some reason our paths have never crossed in the building. Lucky for me she and her fiancé, Jamie, called me up for a cherry blossom engagement shoot. Oh, and let's not forget 4 month old Parker Posey, the newest addition to their family.

Emily // Healing Wisdom Medicine

As you all might know, I have a passion for photographing portraits for women running their own small businesses, so the enchanting and kind soul, Emily, was a great fit. She holds a Masters of Acupuncture and you can find her Healing Wisdom Medicine located in Dupont Circle.

Four Little Valentines

Meet Mike, Katy, Cooper, and Ted the dog. This family opted to go for Valentine's cards over holiday cards, and what's not to love about that? I mean everyone sends holiday cards, but it's not often you get an adorable family Valentine's Day card in the mail.

One of my favorite things to see is which images clients choose for their cards. Of course I always have my favorites from each shoot, but when they choose their favorites for their cards images take on a new life. Maybe it's just the photo editor in me to watch for these little things.
